Lionel & Carol Martin

Missionaries to Portugal.

After graduation from bible college we returned to our home church and served as the associate pastor / missionary intern for 3 years. In 1987,  we were then sent out from Calvary Baptist Church in Junction City, KS  as missionaries to Portugal. After 23 months on deputation we arrived in Portugal in June, 1989.  It has been our privilege to serve the Lord in Portugal these last 23 years.

We are currently ministering in the town of Queijas which is near the Lisbon city limits. In 1999, Igreja Baptista de Queijas (Queijas Baptist Church) was legally organized.  We met in our home for 6 years. Then we were able to rent the local middle school for 5 years. Miraculously, the Lord provided a way for us to purchase our own building in 2006.

Our regular ministries include: Sunday school, Sunday service, Mid-week service, Bible studies, children programs, youth programs, young adult programs, winter and summer camps, retreats and English classes. We also support 3 different mission works.

Ben and Jennifer Potter

Church planters in Burlington, Vermont.

Jennifer and I (along with our son Nick) are so excited to be part of this church! Our hope is that CVBC will always stay centered on the main thing: honoring Jesus by showing and sharing His love.

Jennifer and I were both born and raised in the Midwest - I'm from Michigan and she is from Illinois. After meeting at a small Bible college in the Midwest, we were married and served at ministries in Michigan and Connecticut.

We are ecstatic to raise a family in Vermont, and to be part of this wonderful community!

Lighthouse Children’s Home

A Children’s Ministry in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Lighthouse program is a combination of set schedules, work responsibilities, Biblical counselling and instruction, private education, athletics, extra-curricular activities, family visits, music training and performance, and community involvement – all in an environment of love and structure. We are above all a Christian home and that spiritual emphasis runs through every phase of the program. The girls are required to attend church, maintain personal devotions, memorize Scripture, and gospel music is all that the girls sing. All counseling is done from a Christian, Biblical perspective, and all school, dorm, and administrative personnel are experienced counselors.

Levi and Chelsea Wilson

Missionaries to South Sudan.

What is our vision? Lead the South Sudanese people to Christ. Baptize and disciple new believers, and see them actively serving in their local church. Plant local churches throughout South Sudan that are self-supporting, self-governing, and self-propagating, led by national pastors.

Where will we start? We will serve in Bible Baptist Church located in Juba the capital city of South Sudan. We will begin Language studies with the goal of preaching and teaching in Juba Arabic. We will continue to develop and strengthen relationships with the Sudanese people and government officials.

What is our plan? While serving in the ministry at Bible Baptist Church we will be training nationals so that they can plant new churches in Juba and around the country. As we minister in the community we will constantly be on the look out for new areas where we can plant new Churches. Our desire is to train nationals who come to Juba for work to be able to take the Gospel back home to their village.

Ron and Christine Enoch

Ron and Christine Enoch were approved as missionaries to Zaire in September 1985. They served in Zaire until they went on furlough in August 1998. Prolonged political unrest made it impossible for them to return to Zaire, and they served in Zambia for a year and a half while trying to get permission to return to Zaire. In 2001, they changed fields to Kenya where they served until February 2012 when they transitioned to the new nation of South Sudan. In South Sudan, they started a church, feeding center and a school.

Ron graduated in 1981 from the missions course at Baptist Bible College, Springfield, MO. Christine completed the concentrated missions course at BBC. They served their internship at Cherry Street Baptist Church in Springfield, MO where Ron was ordained.

Clint and Rita Vernoy

Missionaries to Paraguay.

Clint and Rita Vernoy are working in Ciudad del Este, a bustling multicultural city of around 350,000 residents where one can walk through the streets and hear conversations in as many as 11 different languages. It is the third most important "free commercial zone" (duty free zone) in the world, trailing only behind Miami and Hong Kong. The multi-national makeup of certain sectors of Paraguay offers a truly global opportunity for someone who desires to reach the world for Christ.

We arrived in Murcia, Spain on May 28, 2011 and began working with Steve and Kelly Mowery in their churches, Iglesia Bautista Biblica de Montegrande and Iglesia Bautista Biblica de Murcia.  We attended language school full-time for 18 months while helping them.  In January 2013, when the Mowerys returned from their furlough, we began making plans to move to Valencia: Spain's 3rd largest city with over 800,000 residents and a metropolitan area of 1.5 million people.  During the process, the Lord led us to the city of Torrent, the largest of the Valencia suburbs with a population of over 80,000.

The Lane Family

Our hearts are burdened for the Dominican and Haitian people, and we believe God has called us to be missionaries on the Island of Hispaniola, specifically in the Dominican Republic. We were recognized as BBFI TEAM missionaries on May 4th, 2016 and have served alongside veteran missionaries Wesley and Melina Lane for just shy of two years. This internship gave us the opportunity to improve our Spanish, and better understand the culture as we've assisted in all aspects of ministry and church planting. Rev. Wesley and Melina Lane have been serving God in Haiti and the Dominican Republic for more than 30 years and we have been blessed to glean from their wisdom and experience. It is now our desire to apply for approval as BBFI career missionaries in May of 2020, raise ministry funds, and return to the Dominican Republic to continue to share the name of Jesus and the love of God with everyone we meet.

Christian Radio International

We believe God has provided us a great open door through technology to take the Gospel to people who have never heard. There are people in countries around the world who may not be open to hear the Gospel by a personal presentation, but by means of radio or television they may hear and put their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. We praise God for this great ministry we have the privilege to be a part of!
