Camp Sonlight Information

Camp Sonlight is for boys and girls going into 4th grade and finishing 12th.

Since the summer of 1974, Victory Baptist Church has sponsored this ministry because of our love for young people. Our fully background-checked volunteers comes each year with a desire to provide a wonderful, safe and spiritual experience.  

We are thrilled that Camp Sonlight is going to be held at Camp Thorpe in Goshen, VT.

Camp Sonlight this year is scheduled for August 11 - Saturday morning, August 16, 2025.

Cost this year for 2025 is:

  • $260 if deposit is received before June 01, 2025

  • $275 If deposit is received before July 01, 2025

  • $290 if deposit is received after July 01, 2025


General Information

  • A licensed nurse will be on duty at all times. All prescriptions including over the counter medications must be turned into the camp nurse. The Camper Required Prescription Form (see above) needs to be completed by your child’s medical provider in order for prescription medications to be administered at camp. All medications need to be sent in their original containers from the pharmacy. We are not able to accept campers with contagious diseases. Please do not send your child to camp if they are sick or have untreated head lice.

  • Registration for Camp Sonlight will begin Monday morning, August 11 at 10:00 AM.

What To Bring?

  • Clothing: Shower shoes/pool shoes, pants, shorts, t-shirts, hoodie, two pairs of shoes for activities (some activities include water), modest swimsuit, cover garments for walking to and from the pool, pajamas, rain jacket and/or umbrella

  • Toiletries: Separate pool and shower towels, a shower caddy for toiletries (available at dollar stores), shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hairbrush, hair things

  • Bedding: Sleeping bag, fitted sheet, pillow, extra blanket (nights can get cool)

  • Other: Bible, journal, pen, trash bags for dirty clothes and used bedding, flashlight, bug spray, sunscreen, spending money for crafts and snack shop

    Dress Code: Shorts need to be fingertip length. No exposed undergarments. No inappropriate graphics on clothing. Attire must fully cover the torso, including front, back, and sides, from shoulders to waist.

Any camper wearing unacceptable clothing may be asked to change their outfits
by camp staff or counselors.

What Not To Bring?

  • Alcohol, drugs or cigarettes of any kind, fireworks, ammunition, guns, weapons,
    clothing with inappropriate graphics, any kind of electronic device, including cell phones.
